Simple Truth's Guide to Summer Travel Food

Road trips, vacations or even just a trek down to the local water park are all staples of summer. And while it’s incredibly important to keep yourself and your loved ones nice and hydrated, it’s equally important to keep your body fueled with nutritious food, giving you just the oomph you need to get the most out of your travel.

But packing travel snacks can be difficult. Warm weather can lead to melted, spoiled or unappetizing food. Here are a few tips to make summer travel snack packing simple and tasty!

Avoid the cooler. If at all possible, try to pack snacks that don’t require refrigeration. This eliminates the need to haul a cooler around. It also keeps you from using non-biodegradable plastic bags of ice or ice packs, and ensures you’re not at risk for melted or spoiled food.
