Ingredients

1 tablespoon Simple Truth Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 pound Simple Truth Natural Beef Ground Round 91% 
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
8 ounces root beer
2/3 cup Simple Truth Organic Tomato Sauce 
1 4-ounce can diced green chiles
1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 green onions, minced
4 hamburger buns
1 bag gourmet kettle chips

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté 1 minute, just until fragrant.
  2. Add the beef and sauté, breaking up gently, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Stir in the chili powder and salt and pepper Add the root beer, tomato sauce, green chilies and Worcestershire sauce. If you want it less spicy don't use all of the chiles!
  3. Bring to a simmer and cook about 15 minutes, stirring often, until thickened. Stir in the green onions. Serve on the buns with chips.
