Overnight Slow Cooker Apple Butter

Ingredients

1 cup Simple Truth Organic Brown Sugar, firmly packed 
1/2 cup Simple Truth Organic Honey
1/4 cup Simple Truth Organic Apple Juice
1 tablespoon Simple Truth Organic Ground Saigon Cinnamon 
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon allspice
10 assorted apples (Granny Smith, Rome, Gala), peeled, cored, and cut into large chunks

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a 5-quart slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours or until apples are very tender.
  3. Place a large fine-mesh sieve over a bowl; spoon one-third of apple mixture into the sieve. Press mixture through sieve using the back of a spoon or ladle. Discard pulp. Repeat procedure with remaining apple mixture. Return apple mixture to slow cooker.
  4. Cook, uncovered, on HIGH 2 hours or until mixture is thick, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a bowl; cover and chill up to 1 week. This is great on English muffins, warm pita bread or French toast.
