Ingredients

1 1/4 pounds Simple Truth Organic Ground Beef 85/15 
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Simple Truth Organic Ground Cumin
1 Simple Truth Organic Diced Tomatoes 
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 tablespoons Simple Truth Organic Tomato Paste 
1 1/2 cups water
4 hoagie rolls, split in half
1 avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced
1/2 white onion, sliced

Directions

  1. Cook the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking apart big pieces with a wooden spoon, until lightly browned, about 5-6 minutes. Drain fat from the meat and season with salt and pepper. Add the garlic and cumin and cook for another minute or two.
  2. Add the tomatoes, brown sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, and the water. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until thickened, about 15 minutes.
  3. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls and top with avocado and onion.
