Cook the bacon in a medium skillet on medium high heat until cooked. Drain on a paper towel and when cooled, crumble.
Scrub potatoes and place in a microwavable safe bowl (do not pierce with a fork). Cover bowl with plastic wrap and vent. Microwave at HIGH 5 to 6 minutes or until tender. Let stand 5 minutes or until cool enough to touch.
Cut potatoes in half; drizzle evenly with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Lay cut sides up on a foil-lined baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Top evenly with crumbled bacon and cheese. Broil 2 minutes or until cheese melts and sprinkle with green onions to serve.
