Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds Simple Truth Organic Ground Beef 85/15
1 red onion, chopped
2 teaspoons all purpose flour
1 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons Simple Truth Organic Ground Cumin
2 teaspoons ancho chile powder
1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 cups chicken broth
1 14.5-ounce can Simple Truth Organic Tomatoes
1 4-ounce can green chilies, drained
1/2 cup Simple Truth Organic Cilantro, chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese

Directions

  1. In a Dutch oven, brown ground beef with onion until the onion is translucent and beef is no longer pink. Add flour and stir to combine thoroughly, then add garlic, cumin, chile powders and cayenne and cook another minute.
  2. Add chicken broth, tomatoes, green chiles and simmer for 10-15 minutes, then add cilantro and jalapeño and stir until combined. Serve immediately.
