Cut salmon into serving pieces. Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper; set fish aside.
In a small saucepan, cook butter over medium heat about 3 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Remove saucepan from heat; cool for 10 minutes. Stir in maple syrup and one teaspoon orange zest.
Line a baking sheet with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray. Spread both sides of fish with the browned butter mixture. Broil 4 inches from heat for 8-12 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve immediately.
