Brown Butter Salmon

Ingredients

1 1/4 pounds salmon fillet
3 tablespoons Simple Truth Organic Salted Butter
3 tablespoons Simple Truth Organic Maple Syrup
1 orange, for zesting
Simple Truth Organic Canola Oil Cooking Spray

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler
  2. Cut salmon into serving pieces. Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels. Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper; set fish aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, cook butter over medium heat about 3 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Remove saucepan from heat; cool for 10 minutes. Stir in maple syrup and one teaspoon orange zest.
  4. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray. Spread both sides of fish with the browned butter mixture. Broil 4 inches from heat for 8-12 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve immediately.
