You’re Grilling What…?

When you think of grilling you probably imagine hamburgers, hot dogs, maybe some steaks or mixed veggies. And while all of those things are delicious and perfect for grilling season, we want to explore some of the lesser-known grilling options, and we hope you will too.

  • Salad – Yes, you can grill salad! Lightly grill full heads of romaine lettuce before breaking apart in your usual salad recipe; it’ll give it a heady, smoky flavor that pairs well with grilled meats. You can also grill salad kebabs: Simply skewer your favorite salad ingredients (basil leaves, grape tomatoes, fresh mozzarella), drizzle with balsamic vinegar and grill to perfection.
  • Pizza – Better than delivery! Whether you make the dough from scratch or start with premade dough, roll out your crust and place it on the grill. Once you see the telltale grill marks, flip it. While it’s grilling the other side, add your favorite pizza toppings, cover for a few minutes, checking often, and voila!
  • Dessert – The options here are endless. Grilled peaches topped with crème fraîche; grilled bananas topped with Nutella; or even grilled berries! Simply place your favorite mix of in-season berries in a tinfoil packet, sprinkle with sugar, grill for 5-10 minutes and drizzle over ice cream or pound cake. You won’t regret it!
